In the previous article we talked about health care in a trip to Europe. If traveling abroad, especially outside Europe, we must study the effectiveness of public health systems of countries of destination. In the Provincial Directorates of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), the traveler can find out if there is a health care agreement and assistance with travel between Spain and the country of destination.
If there is no agreement, then it is always possible to recruit temporary travel insurance to cover hospital expenses and repatriation if necessary, as in many countries health care must be paid and can be very expensive. That is, travel insurance is necessary:
* Whether we are covered by public health in the country of destination.
* Check the coverage of our insurance company in the place of destination, especially if it is a trip abroad. Usually medical insurance coverage in case of trip is 60 days, if we travel more days (6 months, etc. ..) then if we need additional coverage.
* And if the insurance policy does not cover everything you need, we may contract additional travel insurance (insurance for travel assistance) that will allow us to travel safer and more secure for longer.
When planning a trip or vacation, do not forget to consider travel insurance coverages.
